You can choose to have it delivered to you (with an additional shipping fee) or choose to pick it up from the NRT office in 318 HUB. The only issue is that we may not get them till the weekend after finals week so if you plan on heading home before then, you might want to have it shipped to you.

We have until next Sunday to order them and we need 20 ordered before they will print the shirts so if you want one, please order it soon.

Monologues will be available however, you are not restricted to those provided. Just be sure to choose a one minute monologue that best displays your acting ability.

We will be holding auditions for the summer show (which will be over Arts Fest weekend) and First Round of Fall 2013 at the following times in the lobby of Chambers Building:

Reefer Madness is a wonderful story about true love and the joys of living life to the fullest…but not really. Oh wait…it’s pretty much the story of Romeo and Juliet, but just with more drugs. Okay, I’ve got it…It’s the story of this kid who really wants to join this theater group to meet a sassy Latina, however he feels pressured by his father to keep up with appearances and is forced to choose between the drama club and the basketball team. no that’s not it either. well whatever it is there’s something to do with stopping kids from smoking the reefer…maybe. You know what, just come see it to find out.

California Suite is a Neil Simon play that explores the lives of four different sets of visitors in the same California hotel room.

In Visitor from New York, Hannah Warren is a Manhattan workaholic who flies to Los Angeles to retrieve her teenaged daughter Jenny after she leaves home to live with her successful screenwriter father William. The bickering divorced couple is forced to decide what living arrangements are best for the girl.

Marvin Michaels is the Visitor from Philadelphia, who awakens to discover a prostitute named Bunny unconscious in his bed after consuming a bottle of vodka. With his wife Millie on her way up to the suite, he must find a way to conceal all traces of his indiscretion.

The Visitors from London are British actress Diana Nichols, a first-time Academy Award nominee, and her gay husband Sidney who has become increasingly indiscreet about his sexual orientation. As they go through the evening, the two prepare themselves for a discussion about the true nature of their marriage of convenience.

The Visitors from Chicago are two affluent couples who are best friends. Stu Franklyn and his wife Gert and Mort Hollender and his wife Beth are taking a much-needed vacation together. Things begin to unravel quickly when Beth is hurt during a mixed doubles tennis match and Mort accuses Stu of having caused her injury by lobbing the ball.

Synopsis:
Next To Normal tells the story of a mother, Diana Goodman, who struggles with bipolar disorder and the effect that her illness has on her family. This contemporary musical is an emotional powerhouse that addresses such issues as grieving a loss, ethics in modern psychiatry, and suburban life. With provocative lyrics and a thrilling score, this musical shows how far two parents will go to keep themselves sane and their family’s world intact.

Run For Your Wife is a British comedy by playwright Ray Cooney, which follows the secret double life of the seemingly ordinary taxi driver John Smith. Not only is John married to Mary Smith in Wimbledon, he’s also married to Barbara Smith in Streatham! He has a very precise schedule that allows him to flit between homes without suspicion. One evening, when John gets involved with a mugging incident, he ends up in the hospital. While writing up the reports, Police officers from both Wimbledon and Streatham discover that the hospital has two addresses listed under John Smith. With the help of his unemployed friend Stanley, John must abate suspicion from his wives as well as the police, leading to mistaken identity, hysterical meltdowns, and many, many homosexual innuendos.

NRT Presents: At Home at the Zoo

Edward Albee’s At Home at the Zoo comprises two one-act plays: Homelife and The Zoo Story. Albee wrote the latter in the 1958, and delved deeper nearly five decades later by adding a first act, Homelife, leading to Peter’s fateful meeting with Jerry on a park bench in Central Park

Homelife takes place in Ann and Peter’s New York home at one o’clock on a Sunday afternoon. The two discuss their relationship, their need for adventure, and the meaning of love.

The Zoo Story takes place in Central Park on the same Sunday a few hours later. Peter is reading a textbook alone in a secluded section of the park. Jerry walks by and, noticing that no one else is around, attempts to make a human connection.
